Hello, Everyone!

Welcome to our new and improved website!

It is with great respect for all of our employees and clients that I look back on 2009, but also with great anticipation of what is to come in 2010 for all of us at Capitol Medical.

We have strengthened our position in the marketplace and our clients know they can trust and depend on Capitol Medical and our great team of nurses and aides.

Our Joint Commission certification has given us credibility and has allowed us to be the preferred agency in the region. I am asking your help in shaping the promising future of Capitol Medical. We need your input and suggestions on how we can do better.

I promise to work hard to keep giving you the choices and benefits you deserve.

We can all win in 2010!

Doug Spaulding
President

Did You Know?

According to the Joint Commission (2010), “A sentinel event is an unexpected occurrence involving death or serious physical or psychological injury, or the risk thereof.  Serious injury specifically includes loss of limb or function.  The phrase, ‘or the risk thereof’ includes any process variation for which a recurrence would carry a significant chance of a serious adverse outcome.  Such events are called ‘sentinel’ because they signal the need for immediate investigation and response.” It is important for all clinical staff to be aware of sentinel events and what to do if such events occur.
